George F. Will Gets Disinvited From Giving a Speech at Scripps College

Ironically, he was slated to give a speech in conjunction with a Scripps initiative which is designed to expose students to "a range of opinions about the world — especially opinions with which we may not agree, or think we do not agree" because that "leads to a better educational experience.” However, a column Will wrote about sexual assault on campus was not in line with campus thinking on the topic, and Scripps, a women's college in Claremont, California, rescinded Will's invitation post haste. Obviously, college authorities hope to keep their campus simone-pure and unsullied by Will's politically incorrect cooties. Because, as has been made abundantly clear in recent times, most universities and colleges have made a choice. They have chosen to maintain purity of thought on campus while paying lip service to free speech while simultaneously stifling any expression of free speech that conflicts with their way of thinking.
