I don't know about you, but when "progressives" start to talk like that, I'm inclined to want to run for the hills. I have seen how, more often than not, their good intentions will tend to have a deleterious impact on an individuals' freedom and result in the sort of compulsory "reeducation"/indoctrination efforts which are redolent of Maoist/Stalinist-style thinking.
